IIT JAM (Joint-Admission Test for M.Sc.) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conducts the test every year for M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc. -Ph.D. Other postgraduate programs in IITs for candidates with dual degrees, and bachelor’s degrees and integrated PhD degree programs in IISc. The examination is conducted in seven subjects: biotechnology, biological sciences, mathematics, mathematical statistics, chemistry, geology, and physics. The examination is conducted online, and the marks obtained in the examination are used by various institutions for admission to their postgraduate programme.

About The IIT JAM Exam:
Eligibility: Candidate who have completed the bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of a 10-point scale) for General/OBC-NCL category, and 50% for SC/ST/PwD category are eligible to apply. Candidate who appearing for the final year of their degree can also apply. There is no age bar limit for iit jam exam.
Application Process: The application process for IIT JAM is conducted online. Candidates need to register on the official website of the exam and fill the application form. They need to upload their photos, signatures, and other relevant documents. The application fee for the examination is Rs. 1500 for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 750 for SC/ST/ PWD candidates.
Exam Pattern: IIT JAM is a computer-based examination consisting of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple-Selected Questions (MSQs), and Numeric Answer Type Questions (NAT). The exam duration is 3 hours and consists of 60 questions. Result: IIT JAM results have been declared on the official website of the exam. Candidates can download their scorecards or marksheets from the website. The scorecard gives details of subject paper, marks obtained by the candidate, All India Rank (AIR) and so on.
Counselling: The counseling process for IIT JAM is conducted by respective institutes. Candidates need to apply separately for each institute they wish to apply to. The consultation process usually includes document verification, seat allocation, and payment of fees.
