After the Class XII board exam, many of you should be questioned for selecting the stream and graduate course for themselves. With the general career options only after the 12th, have you left with the option to graduate in the fields of science, humanities or commerce?Just hold on, as we have prepared a list of top entrance examinations for the traditional and unorthodox UG courses and jobs after the 12th. After class 12, some of the entrance exams given below are all-India level (national level) whereas other state level or colleges have their own special entrance exams.

Engineering entrance examinations

JEE Main: JEE Main National level entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education after Class XII class for engineering admission in NIT, IIIT and central funded technical
institutes such as IIT, and it is also the Eligibility Test for JEE Advanced . Earlier it was known as AIEEE

JEE Advanced: JEE (Advanced) is organized by IIT and only eligible candidates for JEE Management can take the exam to join the examination. Qualifying students are given admission to all undergraduate engineering and other science programs in India at 16 IIT and ISM Dhanbad. There are two 3-hour papers in the question paper (in English and Hindi). Each question paper will consist of three separate classes on physics, chemistry and mathematics.

BITSAT: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test are administered to students of class XII for admission to engineering degree courses in BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT BITS Pilani is the computer based online entrance test for admission in engineering, pharmacy, information system and other courses. Notifications are completed in the month of December and online tests are conducted from May to June in June.

VITEEE: Vellore Institute of Technology has organized Engineering Entrance Examination (Vetai) for the admission of students in their various B.Tech degree programs. Online applications are available from December and examinations are held in March.

Architecture entrance examination

NATO: The National Eligibility Test in an Architectural Entrance Examination to enter B Arch Courses in India in government and government-aided and non-aided colleges of architecture. NATA can be given at any given test centers, at least 6 working days before the cut-off date for applying to preferred colleges. Nata applications are available in the month of March and any one can take the examination on any working day from March to August.

Medical admission test

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Examination (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG): NEET-UG is an all-India level single entry-cum-eligibility test for admission in MBBS / BDS courses after Class XII. It is organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which had previously organized the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT).

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Entrance Examination: Armed Forces Medical College entrance examination is one of the toughest entrance examinations after the 12th standard. This is 4 and half years, with 1 year of medical course internship. After getting the qualifications of students of FMC entrance examination, it is mandatory for the students to work in the defense services of the Defense Forces as a commissioned officer for at least 7 years.

AIIMS MBBS: Entrance Examination: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), AIIMS enters entrance examination and other six new entrants like AIIMS at the national level for admission to MBBS seats in New Delhi. In AIIMS, entrance examination is conducted for seats available for MBBS courses and other AIIMS seats in Delhi.

JIPMER MBBS entrance examination: This medical entrance examination is organized by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JPMER) for admission in MBBS course in its institute. available of 150 seats for admission. The duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months, according to the academic calendar of JIPMER, after 1 year of mandatory rotary internship.
